Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages Asian Parliamentary & British Parliamentary Debate Workshop & Tournament 2014.
We have gathered top trainers and judges from Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Philippines, USA, Romania, Taiwan, and Malaysia to provide closely facilitated coaching of debaters at a ratio of 1 Trainer to 8 students. Many lectures on specific Debate Skills and Debate Content will be given in between intensive, highly interactive small-group debate sessions where each student is given patient, personal instruction and feedback for all the students to improve with every debate drill sessions and practice debate.
At the end of the 4 days of training, we will hold a 60-Team British Parliamentary Debate Tournament to allow everyone to put what they have learnt in the previous 4 days to practice in a competitive environment with high quality judging and constructive feedback for all the debaters in this 120-participant event.

3. Debate Formats to be Taught: Asian Parliamentary & British Parliamentary (BP) Debate Formats
4. Estimated Number of Participants: 120 Taiwanese high school and varsity students
5. Objectives of the Event:
a) To teach the basics and final points of good debating in the AP and BP styles to the participants
b) To improve the competitive debating skills of the participants by providing a Tournament with a pool of very competent judges
c) To encourage Taiwanese debaters to network and seek out further debate developmental paths to grow debating in Taiwan
6. Schedule
Day 1 and Day 2, 8.30am to 9pm -- Teaching of the Asian Parliamentary Style
Day 3 and Day 4, 8.30am to 9pm -- Teaching of the British Parliamentary Style
Day 5, 6 and 7, 8.30am to 7.30pm -- 8 Preliminary Rounds, Quarter (top 16 teams), Semi, and Grand Final, Awards' Ceremony
