Delegates of TAIWAN!
Some of you might have heard of Yale (yes, the University). Some of you (fewer perhaps) are aware of its MUN program, which is about to expand into TAIWAN (WOOT!) This year will be the first year of YMUN-Taiwan, a high school conference for 9-12th graders (but also for exceptional 8th graders), on May 23-26. Yale intends to develop this conference as an important “hub” for MUN in Southeast Asia, and it sincerely invites all of us to join this conference!

What?
Yale Model United Nations Conference in Taiwan
YMUN-Taiwan will be a world-class conference that will provide opportunities to engage with issues of international importance in a constructive and academic atmosphere for high school students. The weekend will also feature opportunities for delegates to engage with undergraduates from Yale University and major universities within Taiwan to learn about the college application process through panels and experience first hand the rich diversity that Yale and Taiwanese universities have to offer through workshops ranging from the academic to the extracurricular. Students will have the opportunity to engage intellectually with one another, both inside and outside of committee through sessions and academic panels, as well as socially through events like an ice cream social and a sophisticated “Dîner en Blanc” followed by live music and dancing. Students coming to the conference can expect a streamlined program of intellectual and social activities, all carefully designed to foster dialogue among participants and to cultivate valuable leadership skills.
Who?
Students in grades 9-12 are all welcome to register. Exceptional students in 8th grade are welcome to apply for admissions by contacting the Secretary-General, Grace Chiang, at [email protected].
